Commission declares 13 EBC boats surplus; special meeting set on East Boston Camps

The Westford Conservation Commission voted 7-0-0 on April 22 to declare 13 boats from the East Boston Camps boat house surplus to town needs; one additional boat will be retained for the Facility Manager.
Conservation Resource Planner Matthew Salem reported an inventory found 14 boats not in use by the Recreation Department or the Camp Nashoba operator; the Commission agreed to retain a single boat for facility use and declared the remainder surplus so the town can determine disposition. The Commission also announced a special meeting for April 29 at 7 p.m. to address East Boston Camps matters, including planned chimney repairs and tree-pruning exhibits to be discussed at the special meeting.
The surplus declaration was approved by roll call and the Commission listed East Boston Camps items, including chimney repairs funded by the Friends of EBC, on its action list.
