ZBA grants after-the-fact and new addition approvals for Peaceful Road Self-Storage
Summary
The Zoning Board approved Application 25-023 allowing a new 20-foot addition and granting after-the-fact approval for previously built storage additions at 6866 US Route 7 (Peaceful Road Self-Storage); the applicant cited snowplow and drainage reasons for the as-built configuration.

Mark Franceschetti appeared on April 2 seeking permission to add 20 feet to an existing storage building at 6866 US Route 7 and to regularize prior construction that did not match Permit 23-107. Franceschetti told the board he had consulted with the prior zoning administrator before building a 40-foot extension on one building rather than the approved 30 feet to better accommodate snowplow patterns; Katie Hill located email correspondence with the prior administrator but no formal written approval in the file. Katie Hill completed a site visit and verified the as-built dimensions and gravel pad conditions. Bob Beach moved to accept the application as submitted and grant approval; the vote was unanimous.
Board members discussed drainage around the units and the limited developable land remaining on the lot (Franceschetti said roughly 5,000 square feet remained). The board approved the requested new 20-foot addition and provided after-the-fact approval for the earlier deviations from Permit 23-107; a written decision will be issued.
