Architect completes measurements for clerk’s office addition; board signs welding contract and to pursue larger dumpsters

The town architect visited the clerk's office the week of Aug. 6 and completed measurements of the building inside and out; the minutes say an update on the clerk’s office addition is expected at the next meeting on Aug. 27, 2024. The Selectboard recorded the architect's measurement work and noted the project will return to the agenda.
Separately, the board signed a contract or nonemployee work agreement for welding work and reiterated that contracts are necessary for all work not performed by a corporation (for example, an LLC). The board also directed Melissa Whitcomb to contact Casella to request larger dumpsters after noting the current trash and recycle containers are filling faster than scheduled pickups and appear smaller than those previously provided by Hillside.
