Neighbors press Ferrisburgh ZBA for groundwater and wastewater protections in contractor-yard proposal

John DeVos, who previously sought approvals for a contractor’s yard on the same property, described a permitting process that included sound studies, environmental review, and operating restrictions and offered to share his permitting materials with the applicant. Board members said wastewater management, slurry disposal, and groundwater protection are principal issues that will require engineered solutions and documentation before the Board can find compliance with the Zoning Bylaws.
