One applicant, Melissa Baer of 4618 Hickory Avenue (2nd District), participated online and staff explained Baer’s valve will be installed inside the basement. A staff member described another approved applicant whose valve will be installed outside. After a motion and second, the commission approved Baer's installation by roll call (5–0).
Commissioners noted the program gives homeowners peace of mind once valves are installed.
