The Hammond Redevelopment Commission unanimously approved a five-year license and shared-parking agreement for the LaSalle Hotel redevelopment at 5246 Hohman Avenue.
Ann Taylor, the commission staff presenter, said the agreement reserves parking lots behind the LaSalle and Haast parking lots for the development and noted Haast’s board signed the agreement on Feb. 19. "This is the last document to come before the commission before the closing of the property," Taylor said, adding the project is in its final stages before closing and that staff will update the commission about commercial tenants and a ribbon-cutting.
The commission voted 5–0 on the motion to approve the license and shared-parking agreement after a brief discussion. The agreement term is five years with an option to renew. Staff said the aerial in the packet shows the lots to be reserved for the development.
