Fayston commission approves 24" x 36" minimum site plan size for applications

The Planning Commission voted unanimously to add “A site plan at least 24" x 36" to Section 5.2(A)(6)(g)” of the Land Use Regulations to ensure legible plans for the Development Review Board.
At its Nov. 18 meeting the Fayston Planning Commission approved a revision to Section 5.2(6)(g) of the Land Use Regulations to require a site plan sized at least 24" x 36". Commissioner Freddie Graves moved to add the language “A site plan at least 24" x 36" to Section 5.2 (A)(6)(g);” Chair Paul Quinlan seconded and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
Commissioners said the larger format is intended to ensure the Development Review Board can clearly read site-plan information that would be illegible at smaller sizes. The change revisits a July 8, 2024 proposal where no formal vote was previously recorded; Nov. 18 established the amendment as adopted by the Planning Commission pending any subsequent procedural steps required by town process.
