USD 422 board appoints clerk and treasurer, confirms governance roles for 2022-23

The Unified School District No. 422 Board of Education appointed Cassie Kirby as board clerk and Dana Trummel as board treasurer during its July 11 organizational meeting in Greensburg. The motions to appoint Kirby and Trummel were moved by J. Wynn Fleener and seconded by Paul Kendall and carried by recorded votes (Yes: 6; No: 0).
The board also approved the meeting agenda (including four additions) and approved the minutes of the June 29, 2022 regular meeting. The board authorized payment of July bills totaling $169,378.95. Paul Kendall was subsequently appointed the board’s governmental relations representative for 2022-23 by motion of Mike Greenleaf and seconded by Cory Zenger; that motion passed 6-0.
The board designated the Merchant’s Directory as the district’s official publication for public notices; that motion passed with five votes in favor and one abstention (Paul Kendall). The approvals formalize officer roles and administrative contacts as the district begins the 2022-23 school year.
The meeting record shows Ki Gamble called the session to order at 8:01 p.m. and later provided a special education board report before adjourning at 9:07 p.m.
