The Eden Selectboard addressed several highway matters at its Aug. 27 meeting. The board agreed to a site visit for a planned Cooper Hill driveway installation and approved a North Road driveway on the condition the driveway be completed to town specifications and that stormwater runoff be directed away from the town highway.
Ricky Morin moved to approve a Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) installation of overhead wires on Ober Hill; Tim Bullard seconded and the board approved the installation noting that no pole will be placed in the town right-of-way. The board also approved revisions to the Town of Eden Right-of-Way Access Permits, Excavation & Obstruction Restrictions Policy to clarify language.
On infrastructure, Tim Bullard moved and Ricky Morin seconded that the board solicit Michie Concrete to provide engineering design to replace the Blakeville Road structure. The board approved sandblasting and painting for Truck No. 2 and agreed to defer roadside mowing until the 2025 season. The minutes record motions and approvals but do not include roll-call vote tallies.
