Mayor Sarah Thompson invited the community to the Fireworks Festival on Saturday, June 27, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Ludlow Memorial Park with a River Stage ribbon cutting at 6:45 p.m., live music and a 10:00 p.m. fireworks display by Vito’s Fireworks. Councilmember David Ziegler announced that due to weather the Hot Dogs in the Park event scheduled for June 26 was canceled and rescheduled for July 10.
Council discussed contingency planning for the fireworks event; Councilmember Paula Graszus asked about a backup plan in case of rain and Mayor Thompson said there is no backup plan but that the weather appeared to be improving. Council also reported the digital sign and ADA ramp installation in the park should be completed by the end of June.
