Courtney New, director of the Northern Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy, presented an appreciation award to the City of Ludlow at the Oct. 9 council meeting, commending the city for recently passing a smoke-free air ordinance. Mayor Sarah Thompson accepted the award on behalf of the city.
The presentation was brief and occurred during opening business; the council recorded thanks to Ms. New and the agency. The award highlights local public-health partnerships following the ordinance’s passage earlier this year, according to the agency representative.
