Superintendent Jerrad Jeske told the board March 24 that district enrollment "continues to stay steady at 561." Danita Shaw told the board she is confident K–8 will again qualify for free breakfast and lunch after recent applications pushed the district over the threshold. Jeske said a bus ordered two years ago is slated to begin production in April and staff continue efforts to maintain driver staffing; Cassin Pittman is close to completing substitute bus driver certification.
Jeske flagged a significant facilities concern: the steel structure supporting the district wastewater system is deteriorating and he is seeking engineering assessments and potential solutions. He characterized this as potentially "a significant expense" and put it on the board's radar. Staff also plan to attempt a fiber‑optic repair between buildings over spring break to address a broken conduit and improve connectivity.
