Chair explained the work is for observation during construction of the new station, which he said is scheduled to start in April. "Bid, for the construction was awarded to Larson Danielson in the amount of 8,474,000," the Chair said during the presentation, and the motion carried on a 5–0 roll-call vote.
The contract funds construction-phase engineering services (observation and related tasks) to oversee the awarded construction contract. Staff will monitor construction work and report progress to the board as required by standard contract terms.
