The Des Moines County Board approved several personnel actions during the July 21 meeting. The board accepted the resignation of Shanna Krogmeier as Descom Director, effective July 17, 2026, and approved the promotion of Kirk Schneden to Interim Director at a pay rate of $39.66 per hour effective July 18, 2026. The board also approved an IT personnel request: System Administrator Josh Shelman was granted 35.5 hours of unpaid leave for the period July 8–17, 2026.
All personnel items were moved by Chair Shane McCampbell, seconded by Vice Chair Tom Broeker, and approved unanimously. The Auditor's Office continues to accept applications for a Real Estate Administrative Assistant through August 11, 2026.
