Code Enforcement Officer Jamie West told the council the first full week of every month is trash amnesty week during which residents may set out large items; any upholstered items must be wrapped. Officer West also reported the Urban Design Review Board issued a Certificate of Appropriateness for a front-door replacement at 237 Elm Street.
He said Norfolk Southern approved trimming overgrowth along the fence line adjacent to Adela Avenue, Poplar Street and Harris Alley. Councilmember Meagan Guthrie asked about creating a publicly published rental-license list; Mr. Grote said a list exists but that owner personal information would be redacted and would be provided upon request.
