The Ludlow City Council voted to adopt Ordinance 2025-16, a fiscal-year 2025–26 budget amendment, during its special meeting on Dec. 4, 2025. Mr. Grote completed the ordinance’s second reading before Councilmember Steve Chapman moved to adopt and Councilmember Meagan Guthrie seconded; the roll call vote was four ayes and one nay (Councilmember Abigail Miller).
The ordinance calls for revised revenue of $6,012,310.81 (up from $5,678,100.00) and amended expenditures of $5,980,932.43 (up from $5,097,840.00). Council discussed which line items would be changed and agreed to conduct a quarterly budget review in February and amend again then if necessary. The adoption is recorded as a formal council action; the ordinance will take effect as provided by city rules.
