KUHS reports substantial dual-credit growth, saving families roughly $368,000 in tuition

Klamath Union High School leaders reported expansion of dual-credit courses and partnerships with Southern Oregon University, Klamath Community College and Oregon Tech. Counselor Karla Andrade and Vice Principal Adam Randall said the district recorded 744 credits through SOU, 1,372 credits through KCC and 156 credits through OIT, equating to an estimated combined tuition savings of roughly $368,049.40 for families.
School leaders highlighted efforts to expand access to early college opportunities in business, English, health, design and STEM courses and noted KUHS added eight new dual-credit classes this year. Administrators invited board feedback on the draft weighted GPA policy before final presentation at the July meeting.
