Board updates procurement policies, approves thresholds and allows email correspondence

At its Oct. 13 meeting the McCall-Donnelly Joint School District board approved two procurement-related policy updates.
Superintendent Tim Thomas presented changes to Policy 7403, which sets procurement thresholds for goods and services in school meal programs. Trustee Laura McGeorge requested a follow-up from the food service department about how the updated thresholds will be applied in practice. The board voted unanimously to adopt Policy 7403 after Trustee Jeremy Griffin moved and Trustee McGeorge seconded.
Policy 7420, covering purchasing, procurement and payment, was also updated to reflect revised amount thresholds. Trustee Jill Wright requested language be added to allow email correspondence; she moved to approve the policy with that added verbiage, Trustee Kelly Miller seconded, and the board approved the amended policy unanimously.
Meeting minutes do not record the specific dollar thresholds or the food service department’s response; board members requested follow-up to ensure implementation aligns with department processes.
