The Klamath Falls City Schools Board of Education adopted the district's 2025-26 annual budget by unanimous vote after Director of Operations Daymond Monteith presented the final adopted document and confirmed there were no changes from the proposed or approved drafts. Resolution No. 25-05 was approved with six affirmative votes.
Monteith told the board the budget is balanced and ready for submission to local and state authorities. He reported that local revenue exceeded projections by about $1 million, a change that will be offset dollar-for-dollar by the state school funding formula. Board members thanked Monteith and budget committee members for their work preparing the budget.
The board's formal motion to adopt Resolution No. 25-05 passed with the following recorded votes: Trina Perez (yes), Ashley Wendt-Lusich (yes), Andrew Biggs (yes), Kathy Hewitt (yes), Vanessa Bennett (yes) and Patrick Fenner (yes). The board will submit the adopted budget to the appropriate local and state offices as required.
