The clerk said the additional location would serve three days of early voting and be available on Election Day if the state approves the change, part of an effort to "right size" polling to match expected turnout.
Magistrates used final comments to urge public-safety caution as the school year begins. One magistrate reminded residents that a change in state law requires drivers to stop for stopped school buses on many four-lane highways where previously they might not have been required to stop, except where separated by a raised barrier or unpaved median. "These changes are about one thing — it's protecting our children," the magistrate said, and urged the public to slow down in school zones. Magistrates also announced upcoming committee meetings and thanked the Sheriff's Office SRT for its recent response.
The court adjourned following final motions to close the meeting.
