USD 422 board appoints clerk, treasurer and key 2024–25 designees

The Unified School District No. 422 Board of Education appointed Cassie Kirby as board clerk and Dana Trummel as board treasurer during its July 8, 2024 organizational meeting in Greensburg. The motions to appoint Kirby and Trummel were made by J. Wynn Fleener and seconded by Tyler Heinson; both motions passed unanimously in the votes recorded in the minutes.
The board also approved a package of 2024–25 designees in a motion by Tyler Heinson, seconded by David Allison, that passed 7–0. Approved roles included Travis Powell as junior high/high school truant officer and Title IX coordinator; Stephanie White‑Neuhold as elementary truant officer and Title IX investigator; Brandie Waldschmidt as Title I coordinator, Title II coordinator, Section 504 coordinator, and transportation supervisor; Cassie Kirby as KPERS designated agent and Freedom of Information officer; and Brooke Varela as deputy clerk and child nutrition authorized representative. The minutes note other routine designees such as KASB Legal Assistance as board attorney and Greensburg State/SJN Bank as the official depository.
In a separate motion the board appointed Jamie Brown as the district’s governmental relations representative for 2024–25. That motion passed 6–1, with Jamie Brown recorded as the lone 'no' vote. The meeting was called to order by Ki Gamble at 8:06 p.m. and the organizational actions were recorded in the minutes.
