CID reports Big Sioux levee repair near completion; Missouri River runoff remains below average

Andrew Tramp reported that the Big Sioux Levee repair near the maintenance building is 99% complete and is awaiting seeding to finish the work. Tramp also reported that June runoff above Sioux City, Iowa, in the Missouri River Basin was measured at 3.3 million acre-feet, about 60% of average, and that the updated 2025 runoff forecast remains below average.
Tramp shared the construction schedule for the CID Maintenance Operations Facility and announced two special meetings: Aug. 8, 2025, to consider authorization to advertise for subcontractor bids, and Sept. 8, 2025, to consider award of the bids. The schedule indicates procurement steps moving forward for the facility project.
