Dakota Dunes CID holds special meeting; unanimous votes on property and facilities

The Dakota Dunes Community Improvement District Board of Supervisors convened a special meeting on June 11, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Welcome Center, 335 Sioux Point Road. Present were Messrs. Beaulieu, Shorma, Wetz and Mesdames Shanafelt and Finzen; counsel Jesse of Crary Law Firm and employee Andrew Tramp also attended. The meeting minutes are unapproved and were submitted by District Secretary Katelyn Irby.
The board approved the agenda (motion by Ms. Finzen, seconded by Mr. Shorma) by a 5-0 vote, recorded no conflicts of interest, and had no public comment. The board then entered an executive session at 4:03 p.m. to discuss contractual and legal matters and returned at 5:08 p.m. On returning, the board acted on several items by unanimous vote: it rejected a Dakota Dunes Country Club counteroffer dated May 30, 2025; approved Option #2 for a 9,600 sq/ft Maintenance Operations Facility with interior offices; and authorized Bill’s Tree Service to remove trees for the site after staking. The board adjourned at 5:09 p.m.
