The Crazy Horse School Board accepted the resignation of Jodi Stoddard as School Improvement Director, effective June 30, 2025, in motion 04-09-25-09. The board also approved multiple reassignments and transfers: Annie Janis from Project AWARE Coordinator to Project AWARE Director and Maiden Carnes from NYCP Coordinator to NYCP Director (04-09-25-10); Monica Young from Elementary Lakota Teacher to Project AWARE Cultural Mentor (04-09-25-11); and Caroline Bettelyoun from Middle School Language Arts Teacher to Grade 6 Elementary Teacher (04-09-25-12).
In addition, the board approved a hiring freeze (04-09-25-13) across programs with explicit exceptions for hiring a Special Education teacher, a Special Education paraprofessional, an Elementary teacher and a K–12 PE teacher. All listed motions were moved or seconded by board members Dawn Moves Camp and Carrie Sitting Up and were recorded as approved by the attending members. The meeting minutes list the motion number 04-09-25-05 twice (once for the visa authorization and once for entry into executive session); the minutes appear to contain duplicate numbering and may be corrected in finalized minutes.
