The Jackson County Commission on July 27 approved its meeting agenda and took time to recognize two long‑serving county employees. Chair Danelle led the ceremony, saying the county “has a great team” and thanking the honorees for their service.
Danelle praised Misty Perkins’ role in grant work and project coordination: “She has been with us 5 years,” Danelle said, noting Perkins’ responsibility for finding and coordinating grants and tracking schedules. Commissioners also thanked Chad Coleman for overseeing six senior centers and county programs to support older residents, with Danelle calling the senior‑services work “one of the most important functions that we have in the county.”
The recognitions took place at the start of the business portion of the meeting and were followed by routine consent actions. The commission moved on to new business after the presentations and a round of applause from commissioners.
