Highway foreman reports fleet repairs, grading and Better Roads completion

Highway Foreman Mike Spackman told the Selectboard the Town’s one-ton truck is in the shop for radiator issues and that there is no new information about a recall tied to the truck’s power issues. He added the new 10-wheeler is experiencing air-conditioning problems and has an active recall for an unrelated electrical issue; the truck will be serviced under warranty. The Highway Department is conducting ditching and grading work and will finish hydroseeding on the Silver Hill Better Roads grant project once the one-ton truck returns to service. Roadside mowing will begin later in the week.
Spackman also publicly thanked the Windsor Police Department for assistance during a recent fire call, noting officers helped rake and clear debris before applying traffic control. The board reviewed the Windsor Police log for May with no specific items to note.
