MARC presents VTrans Bicycle & Pedestrian grant options for Brownsville projects

Kellen Appleton and Otis Ellms-Munroe of the Mount Ascutney Regional Commission briefed the Selectboard on the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s Bicycle & Pedestrian Grant Program. They flagged potential West Windsor candidate projects identified in the Brownsville: Between the Bridges and Beyond planning work, including village sidewalks and crosswalks, a pedestrian bridge across Mill Brook, and the Trail to Town connecting Brownsville Village to the mountain area.
The Selectboard expressed interest and agreed MARC should begin preparing the grant application. MARC will return with a draft at the June 8 Selectboard meeting for further discussion and potential authorization to submit.
