Selectboard conditionally approves Ragnar Trail Vermont permit; food vendor DLL approved
Summary
The board approved the Ragnar Trail Vermont event (July 9–11) on condition a parking plan is secured and separately approved a DLL permit for Brownsville Butcher & Pantry to serve the event.
Race Director Lezhai 'Z' Gulbransen presented the application for Ragnar Trail Vermont, which includes overnight camping starting July 9 and race activities on July 10–11 at Ascutney Outdoors. Selectboard members discussed race timing, site and course layouts, emergency services, food and beverage services, parking and additional security and medical coverage.
The Selectboard approved the event application on the condition an overflow parking plan is approved in advance of the event. The board also approved a DLL (Department of Liquor and Lottery-style) permit allowing Brownsville Butcher & Pantry to sell food and beverages at the event. Mark Harley moved to approve the event; John Brodie seconded. The minutes record the motions carried with all in favor.
