CRA trust fund spending delayed pending Fire Station grant; tennis and basketball court lighting approved in concept

City Manager Jamie Booth told the committee the CRA Trust Fund has realized $131,000 of $220,000 budgeted revenue and has spent $167,000 of a $476,000 appropriation. He said $160,000 allocated for museum construction and $30,000 for parking and design have been delayed while the city awaits the outcome of a Fire Station Acquisition Grant application.
Booth said the CRA Board and the council approved using CRA funds for tennis and basketball court lighting at the trailhead, but staff are still awaiting quotes. He also said the city needs to move about $100,000 of the city increment from the General Fund into the CRA Trust Fund to close the revenue gap for the fiscal year.
Council and CRA staff will continue work on quotes and property negotiations related to a pending $30,000 real-estate acquisition.
