Staff said CG zoning would better align with the parcel’s 'Multiple Use' Comprehensive Plan designation and allow the proponent to pursue special exceptions for low‑impact manufacturing and indoor assembly (with occupancy limits). The applicant was not present. Commissioner Craddock cast the lone dissenting vote; the motion to recommend approval passed with Bulmash making the motion and Humphrey seconding.
Staff reminded the commission that if occupancy exceeds 250 people or other special exceptions are needed, additional approvals would be required from the City Board of Adjustment.
