Facilities director reports progress on 'Warm, Safe and Dry' summer projects

John, the district facilities presenter, gave a visual and narrative update on multiple summer projects tied to the district's 'Warm, Safe and Dry' initiative.
He reported AGS flooring is about "90% done," new LVT has been installed in hallways and multipurpose rooms and gym lines repainted. At Louis(e) White the roof work is "about 75 to 80% done," with new reflective membrane and new rooftop units being hooked up and tested next week. John described utility trenching and playground asphalt work at HC Storm with the playground installation expected to take about "5 to 6 days" and turf work another 5–6 days. He also noted tuckpointing across several buildings to address water penetration and routine custodial cleaning and preparation ahead of school start.
Board members asked whether projects remain on schedule; John acknowledged some surprises (vendor product revisions, city-driven plan changes) but said teams and partners (DLR, LAMP, contractors) are adjusting and he was confident sites will be ready.
The presentation provided multiple operational details that administration said staff will continue to monitor and report on as school opening approaches.
