The Selectboard discussed safety concerns after cars parked along Route 128 during Winterfest, creating a dangerous situation near the Common. Road Foreman Sean Cushing advised that VTrans controls the Route 128 right‑of‑way and the town will need to coordinate with VTrans to install signs; he said he could not contact VTrans immediately because of an upcoming wedding on the Common.
As an interim measure the board asked the Town Administrator to contact the wedding organizers and ask guests not to park on the Common or along Rt 128. The board also directed staff to explore formal signage through VTrans and to identify all locations where signs are desired, with a follow‑up once VTrans provides guidance.
