Conservation Commission Chair Ted Siegler briefed the Selectboard on a proposed easement donation on Parcel #04‑047 at 2022 Sheddsville Road. Siegler said property owner Tom Bratko is willing to donate the easement to provide permanent public access to existing town trails. The board authorized Mark Higgins to execute a contract with Brad M. Ruderman & Associates for the required survey work in an amount not to exceed $3,200, to be paid from the Conservation Fund; the motion passed unanimously.
Board members and staff discussed the value of creating a single map of trail easements to ensure future zoning permits comply with easement restrictions. The survey authorization allows staff to record the easement and move the conservation process forward.
The action secures funding for the survey only; subsequent legal steps and recording will follow after the survey is complete.
