USD 506 approves elementary student handbook for 2025–26

The Labette County Unified School District 506 Board approved the Elementary School Student Handbook for the 2025–26 school year at its June 9 meeting. Dr. Kolette Smith moved to approve the handbook and Brian Harlow seconded; the motion carried 6–0.
Board members were provided recommendations for the Labette County High School (LCHS) handbook during the meeting; the board will consider formal action on the LCHS handbook at the July meeting, per the board record.
The approval applies only to the elementary handbook as presented at the June meeting; no amendments or dissent were recorded in the minutes.
