Council advances gas pipeline design while working to procure easements and solve right‑of‑way issues
Summary

At the same meeting the council also authorized additional route options in areas where an easement could not be obtained, including a railroad crossing and a relocation to follow county right‑of‑way to avoid private property encumbrances.
“This route option avoids the largest private‑property block and reduces overall cost,” the engineer summarized to the council; council members directed staff to proceed with targeted condemnation steps only after attempts to negotiate easements were exhausted.
