On May 14 the Selectboard accepted the resignation of town Dog Warden Matt Bartholomew and expressed gratitude for his five years of service, approving acceptance by unanimous vote. Board members noted the role has been difficult at times and that a search will proceed; in the interim Selectboard members will cover dog‑warden responsibilities.
During discussion resident Carol Winfield asked whether Town Administrator Tommy O’Connor would carry a 24/7 phone to cover calls; the board clarified that continuous 24/7 immediate response is not realistic and that expectations should be reasonable. J. Andrews moved to accept the resignation with gratitude; the motion passed 5–0.
