Chair urges traffic calming at covered-bridge intersection; line-painting error flagged

Commission Chair Jeff Olson raised a local road-safety concern at the intersection by the covered bridge where Pulp Mill Bridge and Morgan Horse Farm roads meet, asking the ACRPC to suggest a roundabout or other measure. "We need more police presence there as drivers speed right through and nobody stops at the stop signs," Olson said, and ACRPC staff agreed to have a traffic person examine possible safety improvements.
Gioia Kuss also flagged faulty line painting on some Weybridge roads, noting the contractor made errors. Danelle Birong said that Mike Winslow meets with road foremen monthly and that ACRPC would pass along safety and maintenance concerns to the appropriate staff for follow-up.
