Energy committee flags $10,000 in efficiency work; board discusses EV charging at elementary school

Kate Selby of the Weybridge Energy Committee reported to the Selectboard that audits of the Fire Department and Town Office identified lighting upgrades and door/wall/ceiling sealing as priority projects with an estimated combined cost of about $10,000. The committee recommended phased work and suggested a community meeting to discuss priorities and funding options.
Selby also raised a proposal to install an electric-vehicle outlet at the Elementary School. The board heard that the outlet itself would be provided at no charge through Bruce McIntyre and that the school would absorb the modest electricity costs. Board members directed staff and the Energy Committee to continue the technical assessment and schedule community outreach before advancing a formal proposal.
