Prospective owner removes circular driveway after town enforcement

Chair Jeff Olson summarized prior Sketch Plan Review and a Boundary Line Adjustment (BLA) that included a waiver stipulating only one curb-cut per parcel. Wollum said Road Commissioner Matt Broughton inspected the site and "gave approval for the circular driveway," and he argued there is precedent in town for multiple curb-cuts.
Zoning Administrator Dorsey Lynn Coale said the Planning Commission had granted a BLA with the condition of one curb-cut and that he could not issue the certificate of compliance necessary for the sale while the three curb-cuts existed. Coale reported he pulled the certificate of compliance to halt the sale and said any request to keep the curved driveway would need to go to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for a waiver or variance. The record notes the culverts and circular driveway had been removed by April 21, 2025.
