Council approves minor amendment to ODOT intergovernmental agreement

City staff presented an amendment to the intergovernmental agreement with the Oregon Department of Transportation related to the city’s Transportation System Plan (TSP) grant. Staff characterized the amendments as name and contact updates due to staff turnover and said the changes are not material to the substance of the agreement.
“ODOT contacted us. They wanted to make an amendment to that agreement. This amendment is not material. It's just housekeeping,” staff said. Councilor Karen Morse moved to approve Amendment No. 1 to the agreement; the motion was seconded and the council approved the housekeeping amendment by voice vote.
Staff noted that because the agreement is with the state, accuracy of names and contacts is required when the city exercises the agreement. The approval is procedural and will allow the city to continue participation in the Transportation Growth Management grant work on the TSP update.
