Wallsburg council approves March budget and check register

The Wallsburg Town Council voted unanimously April 9 to approve the town’s March budget and check register after a short review of outstanding invoices and staff notes. Councilmember S5 moved to approve the register and S7 seconded; the chair called for a voice vote and the motion passed.
Council members noted that a small number of invoices were delayed this month because a staff member recently moved and some bills will appear on next month’s register. The chair said staff will ensure those invoices are captured and that the accounting line for recently purchased grass seed will be coded to the town-hall meetings line. “She is very detail oriented and on top of things,” the chair said, referring to the staff member handling the register. The council listed no changes and approved the register by voice vote.
