MPO Director Bob Esposito told the board that, following the meeting’s action items, the MPO will issue a purchase order for traffic counts at 71 locations across Hernando and Citrus counties and proceed with related analyses of level‑of‑service.
Esposito said notices to proceed have been issued for Complete Streets and the congestion management update and that kickoff meetings took place the prior week. The board approved consent items and contract amendments that allow staff to execute a purchase order to secure traffic counts and analytic work needed to align the TIP with FDOT’s work program.
The measures were handled as part of routine MPO administrative actions; no public comments were recorded on the traffic‑count procurement at the meeting.
