Chief Information Officer Michael Shea told the committee that high-resolution aerial imagery from Nearmap is critical for GIS planning and documenting construction progress across the Tollway.
"NEARMAP is required to update aerial photography at least 3 times a year," Shea said, and staff recommended award to Nearmap US under contract 230120RRR with an initial three-year amount not to exceed $467,460 and a potential renewal term bringing a combined total not to exceed $961,389.
Shea said the imagery is used by planning and engineering staff to improve site planning for the capital program and to develop exhibits for the public and local municipalities. The committee approved taking the IT items as a group and approved placement of item 2 on the August board agenda.
