Chief Information Officer Michael Shea told the Technology & Operations Committee the Tollway should award a one-year master contract to Gartner to provide subscription-based advisory services and licenses for senior IT staff.
"Gartner provides a deep trove of technical knowledge and gathered experiences" and the contract would support the Tollway’s SAP and BackOffice initiatives, Shea said. The recommendation specified contract 250086 in an amount not to exceed $505,388.92 for a one-year term.
Shea said the subscription includes maturity assessments (security and data governance) and ongoing cybersecurity feeds and peer insights that the Tollway has used since early 2024. The committee voted without objection to take the IT items as a group and then approved placement of IT items 1–3 — including the Gartner recommendation — on the full board agenda.
The committee did not record an individual roll-call tally; the chair called the voice votes and the motions passed. The item will appear on the August board meeting agenda with the committee’s recommendation.
