Board hears senior center repair update, forwards Origin Design bill to insurance; meeting adjourns

Chair Don Swinker said staff have been coordinating repairs at the senior center after a recent incident and expects portions of the building (including sewing rooms) to be usable soon once electrical issues are resolved and light fixtures replaced. He said county staff and volunteers will do some cleaning and repairs and hopes portions of the building will reopen in the next few days.
Lisa Smith raised a bill from Origin Design related to the structural inspection; she said she believes Jackson County should not pay the invoice and asked that the bill be forwarded to the county's insurance case for handling. The board agreed to forward the invoice to the insurance carrier for review. With no further business, a supervisor moved to adjourn, the motion carried by voice vote, and the chair closed the meeting.
