Resident urges La Pine to address Railroad Street traffic as nearby development advances

Wayman said the intersection near Burgess is “just becoming congested with all the growth” and urged planners and commissioners not to let development outpace the road network. The chair acknowledged the comment, noted the Transportation System Plan (TSP) is under way, and said staff would record her concerns about Railroad Street.
The comment was placed during the public-comment portion of the meeting; commissioners did not take formal action on the issue during the session. Staff said the TSP update provides the venue to evaluate traffic flow and intersections referenced by Wayman.
