Commission approves vouchers, township appointments and schedules budget hearings

The commission approved vouchers dated May 12, 2026, in the amount of $277,321.92; Commissioner Jeff Masterson moved the approval and Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded. The board also approved Adds of $1,126.44 and Abates of $10,454.12.
In other administrative business the board appointed Brady Sexson as Benton Township Clerk and Jimmy Southwood as Benton Township Treasurer; accepted the resignation of Georgia Davis as Hickory Township Treasurer and appointed Michelle Jones as her replacement; and appointed Verba Brooks of Rose Hill to the Butler County Council on Aging as the Rose Hill district representative. The board set budget hearing dates for July 6–9 and noted Capital Improvement Plan hearings begin next week.
