Frank Williams, Director of Butler County Emergency Medical Services, and Captain Nathan Sturchio asked the Board to approve replacement tables and chairs for the EMS El Dorado station training room, which is used daily for training, classes and meetings. Williams told commissioners that the current chairs are more than 20 years old and several had already been retired because they were unsafe; staff routinely borrows furniture from the Butler County Community Building when hosting larger events.
Four bids were solicited; the lowest bid that met specifications came from School Outfitters for $14,060.06. Commissioner Jeff Masterson moved to approve the School Outfitters bid and allow EMS staff to sign the related documents; Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded and the motion carried 5-0.
