BTEMS reports 465 calls in Williamstown this year; two ambulances due for delivery

David Danforth, representing BTEMS, reported operational statistics to the Williamstown Selectboard on Oct. 14, 2024. Danforth said BTEMS had "465 calls for service in Williamstown as of 9/30/2024," with an average time to answer of 1 minute, 49 seconds and an average response time of 8 minutes, 31 seconds.
Danforth also reported that BTEMS will take delivery of two new ambulances in the coming weeks, bringing the total delivered this year to three. The minutes also note ongoing efforts with the Williamstown Fire Chief to adjust communications so incoming units receive better scene information. The minutes do not provide vendor names, delivery dates, or budget figures for the ambulances.
