BHRS staff outline spring events: Youth‑2‑Youth, UC Merced tabling and AHEAD conference dates

Amy Bonilla, representing the Substance Use Disorder Prevention department, said the department will host the annual Youth‑2‑Youth conference on Saturday, April 11, 2026. Jill Kojima reported that five MIP interns from UC Merced will facilitate a tabling event at the UC Merced campus on April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and she said the 2nd AHEAD Conference is planned for May 27, 2026 at UC Merced.
Separately, Karina Thao announced the Merced Continuum of Care (Merced COC) monthly meeting on March 5 and reminded attendees that meeting information will be posted on mercedcoc.org at least 72 hours before meetings. She also flagged a Homeless Summit set for April 30, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sharon Jones noted a Mental Health Awareness event scheduled for May 13, 2026. These calendar items were provided for committee and community planning.
